The Agony of Restless Nights

Restlessness can grip you like a vice during the night. Every noise becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a menacing form. You toss and turn, your mind racing, desperate for some elusive comfort. We seek for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of helplessness that we must find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

An Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Insomnia acts as a crushing weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, yearning for sleep as you struggle. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity marked by anxieties and disappointment. This constant state of wakefulness leaves you feeling a prisoner of your own mind.

Craving for Sweet Oblivion

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a searing promise of rest. To drown in its shadows was to quell the incessant cacophony of existence. The reality's sharp edges faded under the influence of its peace.

To truly long oblivion was to ache for a temporary respite from the weight of being.
